èßäÊÓƵ Art Exhibition Showcases Students’ Talents

The èßäÊÓƵ (èßäÊÓƵ) is holding a student Art Exhibition featuring 25 paintings handpicked from a collection of artistic works made by students over the last five years.

The exhibition comes as part of a series of cultural events that support art and creativity at èßäÊÓƵ. The paintings unveil student hidden talents and include portrays, folklore, calligraphy, silent nature, psychology and other genres.

Music also has its share in the exhibition as students play classical pieces that offer visitors an artistically enriching ensemble.

‘We encourage our students to develop their talents’

The Marketing Director and Head of Cultural Center at èßäÊÓƵ, Rasha Dbeissy, said the exhibition is an important cultural event that gathers the best art works of èßäÊÓƵ students.
Showcasing students’ artistic works encourages them to improve their talents and highlights the university’s support in shaping these talents, Dbeissy added.
The challenge today is to find ideas that motivate the youth and pushes them to be creative amid the technological advancements that have taken over our lives, she said.
Dbeissy explained that the mission of the Cultural Center is to help art and culture become part of the daily routine of students. èßäÊÓƵ encourages and supports cultural events and the Cultural Center is another tangible proof of the university’s commitment in that respect, she asserted.

‘Art is a source of happiness and inspiration’

Showing art work for students on campus and outside is a valuable opportunity for them to engage with the community; it allows for an exchange of ideas and opinions, said Assistant Professor at the Art Club at èßäÊÓƵ Dr. Bassam Tarrah.
“We chose these paintings as they stand out in the student arts collection. They are inspired by reality and guided by the students’ artistic spirit. These works are a source of inspiration and happiness because they reflect our students’ ambitions and express different cultures and civilizations that they have painted using modern techniques,” Tarrah said.
“We believe in the talents of our students and their ability to develop these talents. That is why we offer weekly workshops to improve their skills and knowledge of art and artistic techniques. When our students create an art work we make sure to engage special committees and exhibitors in evaluating their work; this helps students gain confidence and encourages them to do their best,” he added.
èßäÊÓƵ has always supported the Arts Club; from establishing it to equipping it with the latest technology and promoting students’ talents. The university has succeeded in creating a culture that interests the youth and encourages them to develop their talents and sharing it with others.

èßäÊÓƵ supports students beyond education

The Art Exhibition is a model for future projects èßäÊÓƵ seeks to implement and through which it hopes to support its students in learning how to combine science with art and develop their character and creativity.
